The relationship between Adam Kent and Juliette Ferrars.
History[]
Adam had known Juliette since they were still in school. He had been searching for her since she was locked. Juliette did not want to interact with Adam and was afraid whenever he tried to touch her. They finally talk and he keeps asking a lot of questions about her. She begins to tell him her name since he kept asking for her name. Adam figured out that he could touch Juliette after she was having a nightmare and he tried to console her, he touched her and nothing happened to him.
Later on in Shatter Me, Adam finally kisses Juliette and Juliette realizes she is in love with Adam. Adam tells her he loves her and they both decide to escape from The Reestablishment and Aaron Warner. They decide to go to Adam's house. Juliette meets Adam's brother, James Kent, and believes he is an adorable, kind kid. James asks Adam if they are dating and Juliette says no and so does Adam. Juliette remembers Adam from when she was a child. Before they escaped, Juliette asked Adam why he loves her. Adam says because she is a good person, he tells her he remembered her from school and even though they always picked on her, she never did anything mean. She was kind, and he loved that about her. Adam and Juliette later begin a relationship in Unravel Me.
In Unravel Me, things were going great until Juliette finds out that whenever she touches Adam, she is hurting him. She is in shock and decides to break up with Adam because she believes she is hurting him. Adam begs her not to leave him, that he will find a solution together but Juliette does not believe that. She leaves and Adam is sad and broken.
Later on, Juliette and Adam finally come back together. Adam kisses Juliette and she kisses him back but they decide to do more than kiss. As Juliette kisses Adam more passionately, he begins to feel pain and Juliette starts to feel the heady sensation she gets when she is draining someone's life. She immediately stopped and looks at Adam and he isn't breathing or doing anything. She screams and is worried about Adam. Adam is in the hospital and Juliette does not want to see him. After days, Adam wants to talk to Juliette. Juliette does not say anything and Adam is begging her to say something. Juliette begins to tell him that she will always love him and care for him but he knows what is about to happen. Adam begs Juliette to not break up with him but Juliette decided to break up with Adam. Juliette leaves and Adam calls for her, but Juliette is done hurting him. They stop talking for a while, until one day Juliette had to go meet Anderson. She was wearing a black suit and Adam looked at her strangely and did not say anything. Juliette was confused about why he reacted that way and told Kenji Kishimoto. Kenji tells her that if he saw his girl walking around like that he would obviously find her sexy. Juliette ignores him. Juliette and Adam do not interact until Ignite Me.
In Ignite Me, Juliette realizes she is in love with Warner and Adam finds out the truth about them. Adam is furious and mad at Warner. He is so jealous that decides to kick Warner out of his house. Warner tells Juliette if they want to leave but Adam grabs Juliette's hand and yells at Warner telling him that Juliette will stay with him. Warner asks Juliette but she tells Adam to back off and decides to stay closer to Warner. Adam is mad and leaves the house. The next day he comes back and talks to Juliette in a harsh way. He blames Juliette for cheating on him, and how she fell in love with Warner who tried to kill him. Adam keeps on telling her that he wishes she was dead, and never wants to see her again. Juliette ignores him and decides to just move on.
Juliette later thinks to herself that she only had a relationship with him because he was the first one who was nice to her and she was desperate about the thought that he could touch her. Even when she realizes she and Adam have their abilities under control, she does not get back together with him because she says there would have been problems between them later on, regardless of the fact that she was in love with Warner. Adam was brokenhearted by their separation but realizes that she has changed, and is no longer the shy, quiet girl that needs to be protected, and soon begins to accept the truth.
Adam moves on with another girl named Alia from Omega Point. Alia and Adam get closer and start dating even though it is not officially clarified in the books, it is implied. Juliette says she is happy for Adam to find a girl who will truly love him.
